Materials We Use
We select materials based on performance requirements, sustainability goals, and cost efficiency. Every species and resin we use is chosen for a specific reason, and we can help you determine which material best fits your application.
Southern Yellow Pine (SYP)
The workhorse of the North American pallet industry. SYP accounts for over 40% of all wood pallets manufactured in the US. It offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, wide availability, competitive pricing, and takes heat treatment well for ISPM 15 compliance. Our SYP is sourced from sustainably managed forests across the Southeastern United States.
Red & White Oak
Premium hardwood delivering maximum durability and load capacity. Oak pallets excel in heavy-duty applications, repeated-use programs, and environments where impact resistance matters. White oak offers natural moisture resistance, while red oak provides a cost-effective hardwood option. Oak pallets typically last 3-5x longer than softwood equivalents.
Maple
Hard maple (sugar maple) is one of the strongest domestic hardwoods and excels in pallets requiring maximum stiffness and resistance to wear. Commonly used in automotive and heavy manufacturing applications. Soft maple offers similar benefits at a lower cost point and is excellent for general hardwood pallet needs.
Poplar / Tulipwood
Yellow poplar is the lightest domestic hardwood, making it ideal for applications where weight matters but hardwood durability is required. It machines exceptionally well, accepts fasteners without splitting, and is widely available across the Eastern US. A cost-effective alternative to denser hardwoods.
Recycled HDPE
High-density polyethylene sourced from post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams including milk jugs, detergent bottles, and industrial drums. Our recycled HDPE pallets contain 80-100% recycled content, diverting thousands of tons of plastic from landfills annually while delivering the same performance as virgin material pallets.
Virgin Polypropylene (PP)
Virgin-grade polypropylene delivers the highest consistency and performance for critical applications. PP offers superior stiffness, heat resistance, and fatigue life compared to HDPE. It is the material of choice for pharmaceutical, cleanroom, and autoclave-compatible pallets where contamination control is paramount.
Quality Standards We Uphold
Our commitment to quality is not just a claim -- it is backed by industry certifications, third-party audits, and rigorous internal processes. Every pallet we produce meets or exceeds these recognized standards.
ISPM 15 Certified
International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15
All our wood pallets destined for international trade are heat-treated to a core temperature of 56 degrees Celsius for a minimum of 30 minutes, meeting or exceeding ISPM 15 requirements. Each treated pallet receives the official IPPC wheat stamp, accepted at customs in over 180 countries worldwide. This chemical-free process eliminates all wood-boring insects, larvae, and pathogens without leaving residual contamination.
NWPCA Member
National Wooden Pallet and Container Association
As a proud member of the NWPCA, we adhere to the association's rigorous standards for pallet design, manufacturing, and quality control. Our membership provides access to the Pallet Design System (PDS) software, enabling us to engineer pallets with precise load capacity calculations. We participate in NWPCA audits, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives that keep our operations at the industry's leading edge.
SFI Certified Sourcing
Sustainable Forestry Initiative
We source our wood exclusively from SFI-certified suppliers, ensuring that every board in every pallet comes from responsibly managed forests. The SFI program requires that harvested areas are promptly reforested, biodiversity is protected, water quality is maintained, and local communities benefit from forestry operations. Our SFI chain of custody ensures full traceability from forest to finished pallet.
Quality Grading System
Every pallet we sell undergoes rigorous inspection. Our transparent grading system ensures you know exactly what you are getting, every time. No surprises, no guesswork.
Grade A
Premium / Like NewPallets in excellent condition with minimal wear. No broken or missing boards, no major stains, and full structural integrity maintained. Boards are uniform in color and free from significant cosmetic defects. Typically used 0-2 times previously. Ideal for retail display, export, pharmaceutical, food industry, and any customer-facing application where appearance matters.
Grade B
Standard / Good ConditionFully functional pallets with minor cosmetic wear. All boards intact and load-bearing. May have slight discoloration, minor staining, or small board repairs. Structurally inspected and certified for full load capacity. The most popular choice for general warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and any application where function matters more than appearance.
Grade C
Economy / BudgetBudget-friendly pallets that are structurally sound despite visible cosmetic wear. Repaired boards are common. May have staining, markings, or color variation. Every Grade C pallet passes our structural integrity inspection. An excellent choice for one-way shipping, heavy-duty internal storage, construction sites, and any application where cost is the primary driver.
New Pallets vs Recycled Pallets
Both new and recycled pallets have their place. The right choice depends on your industry requirements, budget, environmental goals, and how the pallets will be used. Here is a balanced look at both options.

Products by Industry
Different industries have different requirements for their pallets. Here are our expert recommendations for the most common sectors we serve, including the specific products and features that matter most.
Food & Beverage
ISPM 15 heat treatment kills pathogens. Plastic pallets offer non-porous surfaces that resist bacteria and mold growth. Both options meet HACCP requirements for food safety.
Pharmaceutical
Pharmaceutical supply chains demand the highest hygiene standards. Plastic pallets can be sterilized, autoclave-compatible, and meet ISO cleanroom classifications.
Retail & E-Commerce
Customer-facing environments require clean appearance. Display-ready pallets and half/quarter formats maximize floor space and simplify merchandising.
Automotive
The 48x45 is the recognized automotive standard. Returnable pallet programs with durable plastic reduce cost per trip. Custom sizes accommodate specific part geometries.
Construction & Building
Construction demands maximum load capacity and durability over appearance. Oversized dimensions (60x48 and larger) handle building materials. Block construction provides 4-way access on job sites.
Chemical & Hazmat
Non-absorbent plastic surfaces prevent chemical contamination. Spill containment options available. Square sizes (42x42, 44x44) optimize drum storage configurations.
Agriculture
Agriculture environments expose pallets to moisture, soil, and temperature extremes. Weather-treated wood resists decay. Grade B/C recycled pallets offer the best cost-to-performance ratio for seasonal use.
Electronics & High-Tech
ESD-safe plastic pallets protect sensitive electronics from static discharge. Particle-free construction meets cleanroom requirements. Grade A wood provides the cleanest surface for component packaging.
